The East African football nations meet from November 24 to December 8 in Uganda for the edition of the CECAFA Cup 2012. The 36th Association Cup is not only a preparation tournament for the Africa Cup in South Africa, but also features a premiere.

On Saturday, the East African CECAFA Cup will begin in Uganda. The competition is held from 24 November until 8 December. The Games take place in the 1.3 million capital Kampala at the Namboole Stadium, as well as in the smaller Nakivubo station. In three groups, 12 national teams from East and Central Africa face off. CECAFA stands for Council for East and Central Africa football associations, which is oldest football regional association of the African continent and is associated with the African football CAF. Unofficial founding year is 1926th seat of the Association is in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.
